About Me

I am a fifth year PhD student in Social and Personality Psychology at UT Austin, working with Dr. Jennifer Beer.

I completed my Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and Psychology at Johns Hopkins University, working with Dr. Howard Egeth to study the effects of aversive emotional distractors on attention.

When I'm not in the lab or the classroom, you can find me watching Steelers football, writing poetry, trying a new recipe in the kitchen, or seeing my favorite bands live.

Teaching, Research, and Mentorship

I am passionate about providing high-quality, student-centered teaching that leaves students inspired and prepared for the future.

My research leverages archival datasets and uses linguistic analysis to study how emotions shape our social relationships and well-being.

As a mentor in several undergraduate mentorship programs, I help students pursue their professional goals through deep engagement with the research process.
